Project Information:

Every spring, multiple groups join forces to build and maintain trails and give back to the natural spaces at Smith Rock State Park and this TKO event is one of many events happening on this day. The exact trail and project for this trail party is still in the works and there will be multiple crews with a variety of projects. Dinner and a prize raffle will be held for volunteers at the end of the day!

Read the Smith Rock Spring Thing “Save the Date” here: https://www.smithrockgroup.org/srg-newsletter/save-the-date-spring-thing-2024. Note: signing up through TKO will reserve your spot, though all paperwork will be done on-site through the Spring Thing system.

Hiking information:

There will be a variety of projects but all will be in the main park area. Most will be near river level. Exact trails are still to be determined, though the most difficult would be hiking up Misery Ridge trail (about an 800 ft climb.)

You should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety. For safety reasons, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early.

Event details:

Detailed event information, including directions to the meeting location, will be provided to registrants via email 48 hours prior to the event. If you’re volunteering for the first time, read this blog by a volunteer to know what to expect at your first trail party.
