Gorge Country Media: “Silver Falls opens new trail overlooking North Falls, new parking and day-use area”

Willamette Week: “Two Columbia River Gorge Trails Damaged by the Eagle Creek Fire Have Reopened”
The two trails were restored thanks to the hard work of people in multiple agencies, including the Forest Service, Northwest Youth Corps, American Conservation Experience, and the Trailkeepers of Oregon, who alone dedicated more than 2,000 hours to rehabilitating the land. That often meant digging through mudslides, casting aside fallen rocks, and using crosscut saws to remove hundreds of burned and windfallen trees.

Oregon Live: “Hikers return to Eagle Creek Trail, as one of Oregon’s best hikes reopens after fire”
Making the Eagle Creek Trail safe to reopen was a significant achievement for officials in the Columbia Gorge, following several years of collaboration between the U.S. Forest Service and the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, with work done by the Pacific Crest Trail Association, Trailkeepers of Oregon, Washington Trails Association and Friends of the Columbia Gorge, forest officials said, allowing hikers to once again access one of Oregon’s oldest and most storied hiking trails.

Portland Tribune: “Trailkeepers sprucing up state parks, blazing new paths”
Visitors to Milo McIver State Park may have noticed groups of volunteers working on the park’s trail system. During recent years, Trailkeepers of Oregon has completed several projects at the state park in Estacada, including work on the Maple Ridge Trail and building the Viewpoint Trail and a second unnamed trail.
