Project Information:

Bridge construction and installation will include activities such as digging locations for bridge supports, building timber structures, attaching surface decking, and grading the trail leading to the bridge on both sides, and may include the use of hand tools and some power tools.

While we will be prioritizing the bridge projects, there will also be opportunities for volunteers to work on continued trail restoration, including improving tread surface and improving drainage features.

You should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety. For safety reasons, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early. We will be working behind a locked gate. This area is still closed to the public.

What to bring:

• Plenty of water
• Lunch + snacks
• Gloves if you have them (loaner gloves available)
• Any medications or emergency supplies you may need
• Sunscreen + insect repellent
• A pack to bring all of this with you on trail

What to wear:

• Boots (Please wear something sturdy that will protect your toes from sharp tools. Tennis shoes are not recommended. Open-toed shoes will not be allowed.)
• Work gloves (loaner gloves available)
• Long sleeved shirts and pants
• Rain gear, insulating layers, sun protection, etc. as appropriate for the weather
• TKO will supply hard hats and safety glasses

Meeting location: 22965 N. Fork Rd, SE, Lyons, OR 97358

Meet at the ODF Lyons parking lot by 8:30. We will be carpooling/caravanning to the worksite promptly at 8:40. We will travel through a locked gate, therefor late arrival or early departure is not permitted.
