Project Information:

We’ll be hiking up the Oneonta trail from the bottom for about 3 miles, past world famous Triple Falls, to the Campsite and the junction with the closed Horsetail Creek trail. From there we will follow flags and old tread to begin to reestablish the route from before the Eagle Creek fire

Hiking information:

Meeting point will be the Oneonta Trailhead, just west of Oneonta Gorge on the Scenic Highway, at 8:15 AM

You should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety. For safety reasons, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early.

What to bring:

• Lunch + snacks
• Plenty of water (at least 2 liters)
• Sunscreen + insect repellent
• Any medications and emergency supplies you may need
• Gloves if you have them (loaner gloves available)
• Pack to bring it all on trail with you

What to wear:

• Boots (Please wear something sturdy that will protect your toes from sharp tools. Tennis shoes are not recommended and may not be allowed.)
• Work gloves (loaner gloves available)
• Long sleeved shirts and pants.
• Rain gear, insulating layers, sun protection, etc. as appropriate for the weather
• TKO will supply hard hats and safety glasses

Oneonta Trailhead is easily reached from Exit 35 off of Interstate 84 at Ainsworth. (Or if coming from the Hood River direction, the Warrendale Exit) Proceed west fron there past Horsetail Falls to just beyond Oneonta Gorge, parking on the right
