Project Information:

We will be working up the Herman Creek trail towards Whiskey Creek removing logs with crosscut saws as we go. We will work in teams of 3-4, with each team being led by a B sawyer. Each team will also take on minor tread maintenance as they move up the trail.

Hiking information:

The hike will likely not go past Casey Creek Camp, but could be up 7 miles round trip with up to 2000 feet of climbing. The hike will be difficult, but we will keep the pace accessible.

You should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety. For safety reasons, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early.

Event details:

What to bring:

• Plenty of water
• Snacks/lunch
• Work gloves if you have them (loaner gloves available)
• Any medications or emergency supplies you may need
• Sunscreen + insect repellent
• A pack to bring all of this with you on trail
• TKO provides all tools and personal protective equipment (hard hats, gloves, glasses)

What to wear:

• Boots (Please wear something sturdy that will protect your toes from sharp tools. Tennis shoes are not recommended. Open-toed shoes will not be allowed.)
• Long sleeved shirts and pants
• Rain gear, insulating layers, sun protection, etc. as appropriate for the weather
